From their first breath of life, we are there for mother and her young to provide comfort and relief in this stressful time so she stays as comfortable and cared for as possible
The first 3 weeks of a puppy's life are a crucial time. puppies are very helpless at this stage. our job is to keep everyone safe, warm, and clean. The most important way to interact with litters is touch. We go a step further and include Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) this requires 5 exercises preformed to each puppy once daily. This is performed from the 3rd to the 16th day.
Our Approach
“
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
Deworming is a vital part of canine health and care and does not leave when the puppy leaves the breeder. internal parasites are common in dogs and can pose a serious health risks if not properly managed, A consistent deworming program beginning early in life and continuing throughout adulthood is essential to maintaining a healthy, thriving dog.
Continued deworming after your puppy goes home Puppies are especially vulnerable to parasites due to their developing immune systems. Many intestinal worms, such as roundworms, are commonly passed from the mother to her puppies during pregnancy or nursing. even when breeders fallow strict deworming protocols, dormant larvae may remain and mature as the puppy grows. For this reason, puppies must continue deworming at regular intervals until the recommended age, as advised by your veterinarian. As puppies explore new environment's, they are exposed to soil, grass, other animals, and contaminated surfaces, all of which increase the risk of parasite exposure. (we recommend alternating dewormer due to immunity that parasites get against the same wormer, and also not all wormers kill all parasites. there are many parasites and not all dewormers are the same! We are not a Vet, so we do recommend consulting with your vet to ensure what wormer you need.)
Lifelong Deworming for Adult Dogs - adult dogs remain at risk for internal parasites throughout their lives, even if they show no outward symptoms. Dogs can be exposed through outdoor activity, contact with other animals, boarding facilities, wildlife, or contaminated environments, routine deworming is key!
Health Risks Associated With Parasites Internal parasites can cause serious health issues if left untreated. Common complications include poor weight gain, vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, intestinal blockages, and weakened immune function. In severe cases, parasite infestations can be life-threatening, particularly in puppies and can also stunt their growth.

The Importance of ongoing Deworming with your new puppy and adult Dogs.
At Pondholler, we are committed to producing sound-minded, well-grounded, and confident dogs through purposeful early development and responsible husbandry. From earliest stages, our puppies participate in (ENS) to support stress resilience, adaptibility, and overall neurological development.
we impliment systematic desensitization to a variety or everyday sounds and environments, helping ensure puppies mature into bold, stable companions capable of handling real-world situations with confidence. Socialization begins early and is thoughtfully to be continued to promote appropriate engagement with people, surfaces, and routine activities.
Health and welfare are non-negotiable. Each puppy follows a strict, documented deworming and vaccination protocol.
To foster positive lifelong habits, we introduce bathing, grooming, and handling at three weeks of age. Early exposure, when consistently continued, helps puppies view grooming as a calm rewarding experience rather than a stressful or unpleasant task. This foundation supports easier handling, reduced anxiety, and improved cooperation throughout the dog’s life.
Our program is built on intention, structure, and respect for the dogs we produce, with the goal of setting each puppy up for long-term success in both working and family environment's.
